Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Mountain World Treks & Expedition. By booking a trip, tour, trekking, climbing, or any adventure activity with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Booking Confirmation

A trip booking is confirmed only after receiving the required deposit payment and necessary traveler information such as passport details and travel dates.

Mountain World Treks & Expedition reserves the right to cancel or refuse any booking in special circumstances.

2. Payment Policy

Clients are required to pay a deposit to confirm their booking. The remaining balance can be paid before the trip departure or upon arrival in Nepal.

We accept payment through:

  • Bank Transfer
  • Wise Transfer
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • Cash Payment

Any transaction or bank charges must be covered by the client.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

If a client cancels the trip, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Deposit payments are generally non-refundable.
  • Cancellation made 30 days before departure may qualify for a partial refund.
  • No refund will be provided for unused services, voluntary withdrawal, late arrival, or early departure after the trip begins.
  • In case of natural disasters, flight cancellations, political unrest, pandemics, or weather-related issues, refunds depend on the policies of hotels, airlines, and other service providers.

4. Trip Itinerary Changes

The Himalayas are affected by weather conditions, transportation delays, and other unforeseen circumstances. Therefore, itineraries may need to be modified during the trip.

Mountain World Treks & Expedition and its guides reserve the right to change or cancel any part of the itinerary for safety reasons, weather conditions, natural disasters, or government restrictions.

5. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all trekking and climbing clients.

Your insurance should cover:

  • High altitude trekking and climbing
  • Emergency helicopter evacuation
  • Medical treatment and hospitalization
  • Accidents and injuries
  • Trip cancellation and delays

Mountain World Treks & Expedition will not be responsible for expenses caused by lack of proper insurance coverage.

6. Health and Fitness

Clients should be physically and mentally prepared for trekking and adventure activities in Nepal.

It is the responsibility of travelers to:

  • Consult a doctor before the trip if necessary
  • Inform us about any medical condition, allergies, or physical limitations
  • Follow safety instructions provided by guides and staff

7. Passport, Visa, and Permits

All travelers must carry a valid passport with at least six months validity from the travel date.

Clients are responsible for:

  • Obtaining Nepal visa
  • Carrying valid travel documents
  • Providing accurate passport information for permits

Mountain World Treks & Expedition will assist with trekking permits and necessary travel arrangements.

8. Flights and Transportation

Domestic mountain flights in Nepal, especially Lukla flights, are highly dependent on weather conditions and may be delayed or canceled.

We are not responsible for:

  • Flight delays or cancellations
  • Missed international flights
  • Additional accommodation or transportation costs caused by delays

Clients are advised to keep extra buffer days in their travel schedule.

9. Guide and Staff Authority

During the trip, all clients must respect the decisions made by guides and team leaders.

Guides have the authority to:

  • Modify the itinerary
  • Stop a trek
  • Arrange evacuation
  • Refuse continuation of the trip if a client’s health or behavior becomes a safety risk

10. Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings, luggage, equipment, and travel documents throughout the trip.

Mountain World Treks & Expedition is not liable for:

  • Loss
  • Theft
  • Damage of personal property

11. Liability Disclaimer

While we make every effort to provide a safe and successful journey, adventure travel in Nepal involves risks.

Mountain World Treks & Expedition shall not be held responsible for:

  • Natural disasters
  • Avalanches, landslides, floods, earthquakes
  • Political unrest or strikes
  • Weather conditions
  • Flight cancellations
  • Illness, injury, or accidents beyond our control

Clients participate in all activities at their own risk.

12. Environmental and Cultural Responsibility

We encourage responsible tourism and respect for local culture and environment.

All travelers are requested to:

  • Avoid littering
  • Respect local traditions and religious sites
  • Minimize plastic waste
  • Follow Leave No Trace principles

13. Website Information

We try our best to keep all information, prices, and itineraries updated on our website. However, details may change without prior notice due to seasonal, operational, or governmental reasons.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a trip with Mountain World Treks & Expedition, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
